Refund and Returns Policy

Refund Policy for BohoMama

At BohoMama, all of our products are custom-made to your specifications. This policy outlines your rights and our obligations in line with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (New Zealand).

1. Custom and Personalised Products

Because our items are made to order (including drink bottles, mugs, apparel, soft toys, and stationery):

  • We do not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind

  • We do not offer refunds for errors made by the customer, including spelling mistakes, incorrect dates, or design choices submitted at the time of order

Please double-check all personalisation details before confirming your order.

 

2. Faulty, Damaged, or Incorrect Items

You are entitled to a remedy if a product:

  • Arrives damaged

  • Has a manufacturing fault

  • Is incorrect (different from what you ordered due to our error)

 

In these cases, we will offer:

  • A replacement, or

  • A refund, where appropriate

This is in accordance with your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act.

3. Reporting an Issue

If there is a problem with your order, please contact us within 7 days of receiving your item.

Include:

  • Your order number

  • A description of the issue

  • Clear photos showing the problem

4. Assessment and Resolution

Once we receive your request:

  • We will review the information and may ask for additional details

  • If approved, we will arrange a replacement or refund

  • Refunds (if applicable) will be issued via your original payment method (e.g., Stripe or PayPal)

5. Returns (If Required)

In some cases, we may ask you to return the item:

  • We will provide instructions if a return is needed

  • We may cover return shipping costs for faulty or incorrect items

Please do not send items back without contacting us first.

6. Non-Returnable Items

We do not accept returns for:

  • Customised items with correct details as submitted

  • Change of mind

  • Minor variations in colour or design due to screen differences or handmade processes

7. Cancellations

  • Orders may only be cancelled before production begins

  • Once your item is in production, cancellations are not possible due to the personalised nature of the product

8. Your Rights

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under New Zealand consumer law, including the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
